Chicken Salad Northern Stlye (Larb Gai) ลาบไก่


Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chicken breast
  • 5 T lemon juice
  • 1 T fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 T kao kua (see glossary)
  • Chopped green onion
  • mints leaves
  • 2 T sliced red onion or shallot
  • Cilantro
  • some green vegetables such as lettuce, sliced cabbage

Cooking Time!

  • In saucepan, cook ground chicken, with 1 teaspoon cooking oil, until pink is gone.
  • Place in a mixing bowl, let cool for 5 minutes.
  • Season the with fish sauce, lemon juice, kao kua and chili powder.
  • Add green onion, chopped red onion.
  • Put in a serving plate, top with mint leaves.
  • Serve with vegetables
Enjoy it! Note: I always add a little sugar to it maybe half a teaspoon or so.

I really love this Salad, actually I love Thai food:), I was living in Amazing Thailand(Bangkok)about one year ... I went to Thai food school and learn so many delisious Thai fOOds...Anyway I missed Thailand ...
